The thruster division wrapped up with former CT competitor Freddy Patacchia Jnr taking the win with an incredible display of backhand tube riding. The Hawaiian goofy-footer was searching for a solid result in the Maldives and just came short of the Grand Finale.

Four Seasons Maldives Surfing Champions Trophy (SCT) – the world’s most luxurious surfing event – has returned in all its thrilling glory to Four Seasons Resorts Maldives at Kuda Huraa local break, Sultans, from August 6 to 12, 2018. Five surfing legends have lined-up in a battle of the boards across the contest’s unique single, double and triple-fin event format for the chance to compete in the Grande Final and take the coveted SCT title.
